LightingEurope joins the Coalition for Energy Savings

LightingEurope, the voice of the European lighting industry, becomes a member of the Coalition for Energy Savings, further diversifying and strengthening the Coalition’s industry membership.
The Coalition for Energy Savings is thrilled to welcome LightingEurope. With 32 members representing over 1,000 companies with an annual turnover of more than 15 billion euros, LightingEurope brings the perspective of a key sector in the energy efficiency industrial ecosystem.
Arianna Vitali Roscini, Secretary General of the Coalition for Energy Savings, said: “Efficient and intelligent lighting is essential to improve comfort, cut energy bills and reduce emissions. With LightingEurope, the Coalition has now an even more powerful voice to call for putting energy efficiency at the centre of the EU’s decarbonisation and competitiveness agenda.”
Elena Scaroni, Secretary General of LightingEurope, said: “Lighting is an energy efficiency driver – by simply switching to the best available lighting technologies, Europe can achieve significant energy savings while enhancing comfort and safety. However, we are only halfway there. By joining forces with the Coalition for Energy Savings, we aim to ensure lighting’s role is fully recognised by policymakers and stakeholders and continues to contribute to Europe’s energy and climate goals.”
