Brussels, 6th June 2024
Eurovent, the European Industry Association for Indoor Climate, Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies, becomes a member of the Coalition for Energy Savings, joining forces to promote the essential role of energy efficiency to the new EU institutions.
The Coalition for Energy Savings extends a warm welcome to Eurovent as its 27th member. Eurovent is the leading voice of the European heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration manufacturers, representing over 100 companies directly and more than 1,000 indirectly through its 16 national associations. The majority are small and medium-sized companies that manufacture indoor climate, process cooling, and cold chain technologies across more than 350 manufacturing sites throughout Europe.
Arianna Vitali Roscini, Secretary General of the Coalition for Energy Savings, said:” We are delighted to welcome Eurovent at a crucial time when it is both essential to accelerate the implementation of the just revised EU energy efficiency framework and to showcase to the new EU institutions the benefits of saving energy for competitiveness, security and affordability.”
Federico Scuderi, Secretary General of Eurovent, said: “The HVACR industry has an important contribution to make towards the EU’s climate and energy goals. We want to play a constructive role in that. Thanks to the Coalition for Energy Savings, we can team up with like-minded partners from civil society and other industries, to keep energy efficiency policies at the top of the list of political priorities.”
