AccelerateEU leverages energy efficiency to achieve EU energy independence
The European Commission unveiled today its response to the ongoing energy crisis, the AccelerateEU plan. It provides Member States with suggestions of actions to protect consumers from price shocks in the short term and to make the EU energy system more resilient and secure in the long run. Positively, energy efficiency is recognised as an enabler for energy independence.
