The Coalition for Energy Savings

The Coalition calls on EU legislators to improve the Commission's proposal by setting national consumption targets to ensure commitment to the 20% saving target, strengthening the energy saving obligation schemes and increasing their quality, requiring the establishment of national financial facilities and roadmaps for long-term building renovation and reducing possible overlaps between instruments in the directive. Such an improved EED could cost-effectively close the EU's energy savings gap.
