Fiona Hall

Fiona Hall was a Member of the European Parliament for North East England (2004-2014), leader of the UK Liberal Democrat MEPs (2009 – 2014), and a Vice-President of EUFORES. She now works as an advisor on energy efficiency. As an MEP, Fiona played a leading role in parliamentary reports and legislation on energy efficiency, notably the Energy End-Use and Energy Services Directive (2006), the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive recast (2010) and the Energy Efficiency Directive (2012).

Owen Lewis

Professor Owen Lewis served as Chief Executive Officer of the Sustainable Energy Agency of Ireland until May 2012. Previously he was a professor of Architectural Science and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at UCD Dublin. He coordinated a considerable number of European Commission research and dissemination activities and acted as expert advisor to a number of its directorates, including those dealing with research, energy and transport, industry and environment.

Caroline Lucas

Caroline Lucas is the MP for Brighton Pavilion. She served as Leader of the Green Party of England & Wales from 2008 to 2012 and Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2010. A passionate campaigner on the environment, social justice and human rights, Caroline was voted the UK's Most Ethical Politician in 2007, 2009 and 2010 by Observer readers, and is one of the Environment Agency's Top 100 Eco-Heroes.

Marc Ringel

Prof. Marc Ringel reads energy policy, energy efficiency and environmental economics as professor at Nuertingen Geislingen University, Germany and as guest lecturer at Université d’Aix en Provence/Marseille, France. As former official with the DG Energy of the European Commission and with the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy he continues to be deeply involved in the development and economic assessment of national and European energy efficiency policy frameworks. He supports policy-oriented research for several national energy action plans and key strategic EU policy actions (rapporteur for the Integrated Energy Roadmap of Horizon 2020, Energy Efficiency Directive, Energy Roadmap 2050, EU Energy 2020 and 2030 strategies).

Gianni Silvestrini

Gianni Silvestrini is the Scientific Director of the Kyoto Club. He had institutional experiences at local level and at the Ministry of Environment, where he was appointed as General Director from 2000 to 2002. Since 2003 he has been the Director of the Kyoto Club and of the magazine QualEnergia. From 2006 to 2008, he was an Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and coordinated the postgraduate Master “Ridef – Energy for Kyoto” at the “Politecnico di Milano”.

Diana Ürge-Vorsatz

Professor Diana Ürge-Vorsatz is Director of the Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Policies (3CSEP) in Budapest, Hungary. In 2007 she became Full Professor at the Central European University in Budapest. She is a member of the European Climate Foundation’s Advisory Board, the Strategic Advisory Board for the Framework Programme for Competitiveness and Innovation (CIP) of the European Commission (2007 – 2013) and of the United Nations Foundation’s Expert Group on Energy Efficiency, “Bringing Energy Efficiency to Scale”, advising the G8 process.

Anders Wijkman

Anders Wijkman is is a Swedish opinion leader and author. He is Co-President of the Club of Rome and Councillor of the World Future Council. In 1999 Wijkman was elected member of the European Parliament. As an MEP, he focused on issues related to climate change, energy policy, environment and health, development cooperation and humanitarian affairs. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, as well as the World Academy of Art and sciences.
